Comfortably embracing alternative styles, Mike Williams performs differently than most violinists, creating the standard for the modern electric violin performance. Giving a groove, a beat, and jazzy feel to his music, rather than playing classical style over tracks like most others do, his phrasing creates a unique style, and his ability to improvise makes every performance different. Performing over 20 years in Charleston SC, he was one of the first ones to incorporate Popular and Classic Rock styles in Charleston on the violin that the others in town have since emulated.
